What is the tank-within-tank?

The tank-within-tank system is a highly efficient, modular oil-water separation pretreatment system. It consists of an outer tank (wastewater equalization tank), an inner tank, a cyclonic separation oil recovery and discharge unit (including a three-phase hydrocyclone separator and a free oil collector), and associated piping.

 

Its core principle utilizes the density difference between oil and water, employing fluid dynamics and centrifugal separation technology to achieve efficient three-phase separation of oil, water, and sludge. This system is not only compact and easy to operate, but it can also perform oil recovery and sludge discharge without interrupting operation, significantly improving treatment efficiency and equipment utilization.

Brief Introduction to the Working Principle

After the oily wastewater is pumped into the equipment, it first passes through a three-phase hydrocyclone separator. Under the action of centrifugal force, the oil phase floats and collects in the oil storage area, the water phase enters the clean water area through the water collection pipe inside the middle tank wall, and the solid particles settle to the sludge area.
